LSU is moving forward with plans to play its men’s basketball game against Kentucky on Tuesday night in spite of a projected mix of winter weather hitting the area that night and Wednesday.

The game, scheduled for 8 p.m. at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center and televised on ESPN, could still be postponed if school officials deem the conditions too dangerous.

The school’s athletic public relations department said school personnel as well as officials with the Southeastern Conference will “monitor that situation throughout the night.”

LSU is 12-6 while Kentucky is 15-4 and ranked No. 11.
