Georgia Bulldogs coach, Mark Richt has given one of his administrative assistants the entire week off because of the upcoming football game against LSU on Sept. 28.

Tammy Mettenberger, LSU quarterback Zach Mettenberger’s mother, has been given the week off by her boss so that she does not have to feel awkward all week long while the Bulldogs prepare for the Tigers.

An article in the Ledger-Enquirer quoted Richt on Sunday night: “She loves her son, obviously, and it would be awkward for her to be hanging around all week."

“I told her, ‘Enjoy it, go have fun, do some things you wouldn’t normally do this time of year and enjoy it.’”

This is the first time Tammy Mettenberger has had to worry about her son’s team playing her employer, as the two teams only meet every six years in the regular season.
