NEW ORLEANS -- No matter where the Tigers are playing, you can bet Al Bellott will be there.

Tuesday, the LSU fan from Kenner showed us game day programs he’s collected from all his road trips this season.

Now, Bellott is gearing up for the SEC Championship this weekend.

"It was exciting when we were there in 2007, when we beat Tennessee and we're excited to be going back there, you know, four years later," he said.

This time, the Tigers carry with them a number one ranking and perfect 12-0 record to take on Georgia in what is basically the Bulldogs’ own backyard.

Bellott said it all adds up to another big ticket event.

"I've rounded up tickets to try to help friends,” he said. “LSU people try to help LSU people, and it has been a tough ticket."

The game is a sellout and LSU officials said Tiger fans quickly snapped up all 16,000 tickets in the school's allotment.

Tim Phinney, who heads up the New Orleans area LSU alumni group 'Crescent City Tigers,' expects a swarm of purple and gold to descend on Atlanta this weekend.

"They say LSU fans don't travel, they take over,” Phinney said. “It seems like the bars are full of LSU people. The restaurants are full. The hotels are full."

For those not making the trip, Champions Square will once again host another viewing party, similar to one held there for LSU’s matchup with Alabama a few weeks ago.

Meanwhile, venues like The District on Tchoupitoulas are already gearing up for expected crowds of their own.

"We've got a lot of TV's. People flock here for the games. A lot of people call in trying to reserve seats, but it's first come, first serve. So, it's just really exciting once everybody gets here and there's a big crowd," said Ryan Cochran, an employee.
