NEW ORLEANS — De La Salle has named Ryan P. Manale as its head football coach, the school announced Monday.
“The reaction from the community on our hiring of Ran has been overwhelmingly positive,” De La Salle Athletic Director Tony Bonura said. “His reputation as a teacher, game planner and motivator touches on all the attributes we were looking for in a coach.
“I believe the hiring of Ryan as our head coach sends a clear message that we have high goals for the program and we will continue to see increased success.”
Manale worked as the offensive coordinator at Mandeville this past season.
He also has experience coaching the offensive line during a nine-year career at Rummel, where he also was the running game coordinator and a special teams assistant.
Since becoming a coach, Manale has helped produce 17 All-Metro linemen and 13 1,000-yard rushers.
