BATON ROUGE, La. - The split between public and private high schools for football playoffs and championships will continue for at least another year.
What many thought would be a one-year aberration turned into another year where 9 different championships will be played and where teams from the same conference may or may not play in the same division for the playoffs.
The vote came at the LHSAA meetings Thursday in Baton Rouge.
The decision only affects football at this time.
