Hornets trade Cedric Simmons to Cavaliers

The New Orleans Hornets have traded Cedric Simmons to the Cleveland Cavaliers for David Wesley’s contract and cash considerations, according to the team’s website.

The Hornets said the team would wear this new patch on jerseys this season.
Wesley will be waived once Simmons passes his physical for the Cavaliers and the trade is finalized, the team said.
Simmons, the 15th overall pick in the 2006 NBA Draft, averaged 2.9 points and 2.5 rebounds during his rookie season.
