Vicki Golden wasn't looking to make history. She just wanted something to do during the offseason.
She ended up doing both.
An up-and-coming rider in women's motocross, Golden has broken down boundaries this year by becoming the first female rider to compete full-time on the Arenacross circuit.
Golden turned pro in 2009 after winning the Loretta Lynn's Amateur National title and finished fourth in the overall standings in the 2010 Women's Pro Motocross circuit.
The native of El Cajon, Calif., has held her own against the boys in Arenacross this season, becoming a regular qualifier for the main events.
