FLORENCE, Italy (AP) — Former Golden Ball winner Roberto Baggio and Juventus great Michel Platini, who is now UEFA president, are among the inaugural inductees into the Italian football federation's Hall of Fame.

Also inducted Monday were former Italy coaches Arrigo Sacchi and Marcello Lippi, Italy's all-time leading scorer Luigi Riva, AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani and retired referee Pierluigi Collina.

Categories included Italian player (Baggio), foreign player (Platini), veteran player (Riva), coach (Sacchi and Lippi), referee (Collina) and executive (Galliani).

The Hall of Fame — named in English — is located inside a museum at Italy's training center in the Florentine hamlet of Coverciano.

The jury was composed of Italian journalism chiefs.
