NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The New Orleans VooDoo has released General Manager Jon Norris, who's held the post for the last two seasons.

VooDoo owner Dan Newman didn't provide reasons for letting Norris go Monday, but praised his help with coordinating the team's re-launch in New Orleans, which played host last week to the Arena Football League's championship game.

Before joining the VooDoo's front office, Norris was head coach of the Bossier-Shreveport BattleWings for four seasons. He also served previously as an assistant for the Austin Wrangles in the Arena Football League and as head coach of the Tulsa Talons of af2.
