STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) — Tyler Russell threw for 291 yards and two touchdowns as 19th-ranked Mississippi State beat Tennessee 41-31 on Saturday night. Mississippi State is 6-0 and continuing its best start since 1999.

OXFORD, Miss. (AP) — Quarterback Bo Wallace scored four touchdowns rushing, passing and receiving as Mississippi snapped a 16-game SEC losing streak with a 41-20 win over Auburn. The Rebels had not won an SEC game since a 42-35 home win over Kentucky in October 2010.

ITTA BENA, Miss. (AP) — Garrick Jones ran for first-half touchdowns of 70 and 43 yards, and Marcus Randle threw three second-half touchdown passes to lead Mississippi Valley State to a 45-21 victory Saturday over Grambling State. The Delta Devils are now 5-48-2 against the Tigers.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — Ryan Deising's 39-yard field goal as time expired gave Jackson State a 37-34 victory over Alabama State on Saturday in a Southwestern Athletic Conference thriller. Deising kicked the game-winner.
