LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) — Two University of Louisiana at Lafayette football players were arrested over the weekend and booked with sexual battery. Both players have been dismissed from the team.
The Advertiser reports (http://bit.ly/QQ6Mn5 ) the victim told police that she was socializing with friends in her UL residence hall and left with a female friend and four men to go to a store after consuming some alcohol. The victim was inside a vehicle when she was fondled and touched on different parts of her body.
Police arrested Darrell Green and Eric Ferguson Saturday night.
Green has played in two games as a reserve this season while Ferguson, a walk-on senior defensive back, has played in five games.
It was unclear whether Green and Ferguson have attorneys.
