Ryan Anderson and Jason Smith each scored 17 points for the Hornets.

New Orleans remains one game out of the NFC wild card race with five games left, which to Brees feels like the Saints are virtually in control of their playoff destiny — even if that is not entirely the case.
LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) — Jaye Crockett scored 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Texas Tech to an 84-75 win over Jackson State Monday night. Crockett, who has been the Red Raiders' high scorer the past three games, got into early foul trouble but helped revive the offense late in the first half.
