METAIRIE, La. (AP) — Rob Ryan has found a job. After being fired following his second season as defensive coordinator of the Dallas Cowboys, the brother of Jets head coach Rex Ryan has signed on as defensive coordinator for the New Orleans Saints.

UNDATED (AP) — A busy day on the college hardwood is getting started, and the No. 3 team in the AP basketball poll is leading the way. Big Ten co-leader Michigan is at Wisconsin (noon Eastern).

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (AP) — Brandt Snedeker and Ted Potter Jr. shared a one-stroke lead over four golfers when round three of the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am got started this morning on California's Monterrey Peninsula. The leaders were 8-under par after the opening 36 holes.

BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP) — Second-round play is under way at the Champions Allianz Open in Boca Raton, Fla., where Tom Pernice (pur-NEES') Jr. and Bernhard Langer shared a one-shot lead after 18 holes. Defending champ Corey Pavin (PAY'-vihn) was in a group of players a shot back.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Former NASCAR champion Rusty Wallace was the headliner of NASCAR's fourth class inducted into the Hall of Fame. The others include innovative mechanic and crew chief Leonard Wood, former series champions Buck Baker and Herb Thomas and former car owner Cotton Owens. Wallace and Wood are the only two living members of this year's class.
