NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The New Orleans Saints have signed free agent cornerback Keenan Lewis to a five-year contract. The 6-foot-0, 208-pound Lewis is a New Orleans native, playing high school football in the city at O. Perry Walker. The 26-year-old spent his first four seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

GARLAND, Texas (AP) — Carl Blair scored 14 points to lead a balanced effort, and Prairie View A&M beat Alcorn State 67-59 Thursday to advance to the Southwestern Athletic Conference tournament semifinals. Montrael Scott added 13 points and 10 rebounds for the fourth-seeded Panthers and Ryan Gesiakowski also scored 13.

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Neil Watson scored 23 points and Dwayne Davis scored 20 to lead second-seeded Southern Mississippi to an 81-66 victory over UAB on Thursday in the quarterfinals of the Conference USA tournament. The Golden Eagles will play UTEP in Friday's semifinals. The Miners defeated Houston 80-69.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Jordan McRae scored 17 points Thursday as fifth-seeded Tennessee defeated No. 13 seed Mississippi State 69-53 in the second round of the Southeastern Conference tournament. Tennessee won for the ninth time in its last 10 games to advance to a Friday quarterfinal against No. 4 seed Alabama.
