HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — University of Connecticut basketball player Tyler Olander has been charged with trespassing while on spring break in Florida.
The Bay County Sheriff's Office says the 20-year-old junior from Mansfield, Conn., was arrested at a Panama City Beach condominium complex at about 2 a.m. Thursday after refusing orders by security guards and a sheriff's deputy to leave the property. He was released on his own recognizance.
The 6-foot-9 forward fractured his left foot late in the season and underwent surgery.
A UConn spokesman says university officials are aware of Olander's arrest and declined further comment.
Another UConn basketball player, center Enosch Wolf, was charged last month with burglary, trespassing and disorderly conduct in what police described as a domestic dispute at an on-campus apartment. He was suspended from the team.
