HOUSTON (AP) — The 2013 Major League Baseball season starts this evening with a game in Houston as the Astros play host to Texas. This marks the Astros' debut in the American League. On the mound for the Rangers will be Matt Harrison, while the Astros counter with Bud Norris.

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — The championship of the South Regional in the men's NCAA tournament is being determined this afternoon. The title game features third-seed Florida playing fourth-seed Michigan. The Gators got this far with a win over Florida Gulf Coast, while the Wolverines beat top-seed Kansas.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Louisville, the top overall seed in the NCAA men's tournament, is playing for a spot in the Final Four today. The Midwest No. 1 is tangling with second-seed Duke for that region's championship. The Cardinals qualified for this game with a win over Oregon, while Duke dumped Michigan State.

SAN ANTONIO (AP) —Miami and San Antonio, the top two teams in the NBA, are meeting tonight on the Spurs' home floor. In the race for best overall record in the league the Heat have the advantage over the Spurs with a record of 57-15, while the Spurs are 55-17.

HUMBLE, Texas (AP) — The final round of the PGA's Houston Open is in progress in Humbel, Texas. The lead after three rounds was shared by Stewart Cink (sink) and Bill Haas at 11-under. Phil Mickelson is enjoying another fine round today as he stands 4-under for the day after five holes and 10-under for the tournament.
