METAIRIE, La. (AP) — The New Orleans Saints' 2013 preseason schedule is comprised of four AFC opponents, including a nationally televised game at Houston. New Orleans' preseason schedule, which was released Thursday, begins with a pair of home game against Kansas City and Oakland, followed by road games against the Texans and Miami.

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) — Connecticut's hopes for an eighth national championship have been given a boost in the postseason by its three freshmen. Forwards Breanna Stewart and Morgan Tuck and guard Moriah Jefferson all were key contributors for the Huskies in the Bridgeport Regional, with Stewart earning Most Outstanding Player honors.

PASCAGOULA, Miss. (AP) — Jackson County, Miss., is going to locate a soccer complex on land that was once home to St. Martin Middle School before it was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The county will lease the land from the school system for no money.
