OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — UCLA's Adam Plutko says he has confidence his teammates will give him enough run support to win in the College World Series finals against Mississippi State. The Bruins go into the best-of-three finals Monday night in Omaha, Neb., after having produced just eight runs in their last three games.

CHICAGO (AP) — Ryan Sweeney had a career-high six RBIs, including a three-run homer, and the Chicago Cubs routed the Houston Astros 14-6 Sunday. The center fielder drove in runs in each of his first four at-bats, capping the stretch with his longball to right-center field.

SONOMA, Calif. (AP) — Martin Truex Jr. snapped a 218-race winless streak with an easy victory Sunday on the road course at Sonoma Raceway. It was just the second win of Truex's career, first since Dover in 2007. It put Michael Waltrip Racing in Victory Lane for the second year in a row after Clint Bowyer won here last season.

SUNRIVER, Ore. (AP) — Corey Prugh had six straight birdies and shot an 8-under 63 in light rain Sunday for a share of the first-round lead with Rod Perry in the PGA Professional National Championship. Prugh and Perry broke the course record on Sunriver Resort's Meadows course.
