NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Anthony Davis had 25 points, eight rebounds and five assists to lead New Orleans to a 105-84 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats on Saturday night, its first win changing its nickname from the HOrnets to the Pelicans. Tyreke Evans added 15 points, Jrue Holiday had 14 and Brian Roberts 13 for New Orleans.

LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) — Alonzo Harris rushed for 106 yards and five touchdowns in Louisiana-Lafayette's 49-35 Homecoming win over New Mexico State on Saturday night. Andrew McDonald, who completed 24 of 34 passes for 327 yards, threw his third touchdown pass of the day when he found Austin Franklin for a 7-yard score with 2:23 remaining, cutting the Louisiana-Lafayette lead to 42-35.

LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) — Brian Bennett ran for a pair of touchdowns and passed for two more to lead Southeastern Louisiana to a 41-7 win over McNeese State in a battle of the two remaining undefeated teams in Southland Conference play. The Lions fashioned a 20-0 lead midway through the second quarter and never looked back, rolling up 439 total yards.

GRAMBLING, La. (AP) — Johnathan Williams accounted for seven touchdowns to lead Grambling State to its first win of the season with a 47-40 victory over Mississippi Valley State Saturday. Williams threw five touchdown passes and had a quarterback sneak for another score to put Grambling ahead 40-24, its largest lead, with one quarter remaining.

NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) — Zach Adkins threw three touchdown passes and ran for a fourth as Northwestern State hung on to beat Central Arkansas 31-28 Saturday night in Natchitoches.
