GAUTIER, Miss. (AP) — The Pascagoula School Board has awarded a $3.19 million contract Fletcher Construction Co. for a new football field house and other athletics projects at Gautier High School.

The Mississippi Press reports (http://bit.ly/1iPgmSx) that other work includes construction of a visitors' concession, restroom and dressing building as well as a 200-plus-seat bleacher addition for the band.

Superintendent Wayne Rodolfich says the schools want to attract families to the games with quality athletic facilities.

He says the money is coming from the capital projects funds.

The field house projects are part of a $10 million upgrade to the district's athletic facilities.
