TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — AJ McCarron threw three touchdown passes, T.J. Yeldon ran for 133 yards and two scores and No. 1 Alabama overwhelmed No. 10 LSU 38-17 Saturday night. The Crimson Tide turned to power football to take control of a game that was tied early in the third quarter. Yeldon carried 18 times in the second half, 25 overall, after catching the game-winning touchdown pass in last season's meeting with the Tigers.

RUSTON, La. (AP) — Kenneth Dixon ran for 207 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries to lead Louisiana Tech to a 36-13 victory over Southern Miss Saturday night. Louisiana Tech's defense owned the second half, shutting out Southern Miss. The defense forced four turnovers in addition to the early safety.

MONROE, La. (AP) — Adam Kennedy threw for one touchdown and rushed for two more to lead Arkansas State to a victory over Louisiana-Monroe, 42-14 Saturday night. Kennedy was 16-of 23 for 235 yards and one passing touchdown. He also led the Red Wolves in rushing with 102 yards on 22 carries.

SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Sean Ianno booted a 34-yard field goal with 14 seconds left as University of Texas San Antonio defeated Tulane 10-7 on Saturday. UTSA struck in the third quarter when Brandon Armstrong broke a career-long 68-yard TD run on first down after a Tulane field goal miss and tied the game at 7-7.
