ZAGREB, Croatia (AP) — Two World Cup slaloms that were to be held in Zagreb in the first week of January have been moved to Bormio, Italy, because of warm weather in Croatia.
FIS says the women's race will be held Jan. 5 in the Italian resort, followed by a men's night race the next day.
As temperatures were forecast to remain high in Zagreb, FIS said Saturday that Croatian organizers won't be able to prepare the Crveni Spust course with enough snow.
Bormio also hosts the final men's race of 2013 — a downhill on the Stevio course on Sunday.
Earlier, the Munich city event scheduled for Jan. 1 had been called off for lack of snow.
