PHOENIX (AP) — Eric Patterson's bases-loaded double highlighted a four-run sixth inning and the Oakland Athletics rallied to beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 7-3 on Thursday.

Arizona took a 3-2 lead in the top of the sixth, when Justin Upton, who was hit by a pitch, scored on a wild pitch by reliever Tyson Ross.

Ryan Sweeney singled to start Oakland's rally in the bottom half. Jack Cust reached on an error by second baseman Ryan Roberts and Gabe Gross singled to bring Sweeney home and tie it. Adam Rosales' infield hit loaded the bases before Patterson doubled.

Diamondbacks third baseman Mark Reynolds signed a three-year, $14.5 million contract before the game and then hit his second home run of the spring, a leadoff shot off left-hander Gio Gonzalez in the second.
