Mehlhaff and Graham released by Saints

The Saints kicking game became unclear once more, as the team announced that it released kicker Taylor Mehlhaff and punter Ben Graham. No replacement for either kicker has been announced as of yet.

Mehlhaff, who missed an extra point in the Chargers game, had only been with the team for three games, and Graham had only been with the Saints for a week before being released.

Mehlhaff was drafted in the sixth round earlier this year by the Saints, but lost the job Martin Gramatica. Gramatica was lost for the season and placed on injured reserve following the Minnesota Vikings game, where he missed a crucial field goal late in the game and had one blocked and returned for touchdown.
