10:41 AM CDT on Friday, June 16, 2006
BATON ROUGE, La. -- LSU has interviewed College of Charleston baseball coach John Pawlowski. The Tigers are looking for a replacement for Smoke Laval, who was recently let go with the rest of his staff after failing to reach the NCAA playoffs. Pawlowski has just finished his seventh season at the College of Charleston by leading the Cougars to a super regional for the first time in school history. The Cougars had a 46-and-17 record this year -- and Pawlowski has piled up 138 wins over the past three seasons.
