BATON ROUGE -- LSU men's basketball coach John Brady on Monday completed his 2007-08 coaching staff by naming Chad Dollar as the new men's assistant basketball coach.

Dollar, 35, coached last season at Murray State University.

"He brings an experienced hand in recruiting, a solid background in coaching and I anticipate him helping to get us into the state of Georgia and the Atlanta area more frequently in our recruiting," Brady said in a release from the university. "He has strong ties in the state of Georgia as well as other places and we hope to use those relationships to keep moving the LSU basketball program forward."

Prior to coaching at Murray State, Dollar served four seasons as an assistant at Georgia Southern University and as the associate head coach at Eastern Kentucky.

"I am very happy and excited about the opportunity Coach Brady has given me to come to LSU and to be a part of a great program and in one of the best conferences in the country," he said.

Dollar joins associate head coach Butch Pierre, assistant coach John Treloar and director of operations Scott Soprych on the LSU staff.
