BATON ROUGE -- A three-game preseason trip to Toronto will give LSU basketball coaches and fans an early look at a revamped roster

The Tigers' exhibition games will be Sept. 1 at the University of Guelph; Sept. 2 at York University and Sept. 3 at the University of Toronto.
A recently instituted NCAA rule lets college teams take offseason trips outside the United States -- and get an extra 10 days of practice for them.
"We'll be able to work with our veteran players for 10 days and the new guys we have coming in will get some extra work as well before we leave that Friday (Aug. 31)," LSU coach John Brady said. "This kind of trip gives us a chance to introduce them to our base stuff, but the biggest advantage is the chance to travel together as a team and get the chance to build some team chemistry."
Five new players are on the 2007-08 team. Forward Anthony Randolph and guard Bo Spencer are in summer school on campus. Forwards Garrett Green and Quintin Thornton, and guard Marcus Thornton will arrive later this summer.
