Many fans were looking forward to the return of Head Coach Sean Payton.
"I think the experience in that room is important. Versatility is important. And, again I think they're anxious to improve on last year's numbers in regards to the running game," Payton said.
Quarterback Drew Brees and General Manger Mickey Loomis expressed anticipation for the start of camp.
"We're all glad to get back to a sense of normalcy. Finally we get a training camp that's all about football," Brees said.
"We're really excited to get started. We're excited about the guys we have on this roster. Excited to see how this team unfolds and how it comes together during training camp. Excited about some changes that we've had in terms of our defense. We're excited to have Sean Payton back at training camp," Loomis said.
It begins Friday at 8:50 a.m. and will last until 11:50 a.m. Practices will be held at the same time on both Saturday and Sunday.
