NEW ORLEANS -- A former West Bank state representative exposed in a series of David Hammer Eyewitness Investigations learns his prison sentence Thursday.
Girod Jackson pleaded guilty last October to federal tax fraud and tax evasion charges.
He admitted to lowballing his construction company's income by about $800,000 over two years and also failing to file tax returns for two years.
Our investigation also exposed alleged billing discrepancies by Jackson when he was in the state legislature.
Jackson faces up to three years in prison.
