METAIRIE, La. ― Linebacker Scott Shanle joined tight end Jeremy Shockey in being held out of practice Monday afternoon as the Saints completed their seventh session of training camp.

Shanle said he strained his left knee during the morning practice, but he said that he would be fine and expected to return Tuesday. The starting weakside linebacker said he hasn't had any major knee injuries in his past.

Shockey, meanwhile, returned to at least watch practice after missing the nearly two-hour morning session.

No other players sat out who weren't expected to sit out. Defensive lineman Jimmy Wilkerson went through practice after sitting out the morning.

Head Coach Sean Payton said he expected wide receiver Marques Colston to be full-go Tuesday, becoming the first player to leave the PUP list and return to the practice field.
