NEWORLEANS - New rules for French Market vendors began to move forward on Wednesday, after an Orleans Civil District judge denied a temporary injunction that would have blocked the rules.

In February, a special committee approved the list of rules and regulations, including the French Market Corporation's ability to re-evaluate tenure, a mandatory review of merchandise every two years and all vendors having to wear ID badges.

Attorneys for the vendors said they will appeal the decision.
