NEW ORLEANS -- New Orleans police have arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting and robbery at a Bourbon Street club last month.

Marion George, 22, faces charges of armed robbery and one count of aggravated second-degree battery.

The incident happened Nov. 12 in the 400 block of Bourbon Street.

NOPD spokesman Officer Frank Robertson said George shot through the manager's office door and kicked the door open. Robertson said George then shot the club's manager in the leg, hit him in the head with a gun and fled with the business's cash.

Police were able to book George in the case Monday morning.

George had been released from probation in February for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
