NEWORLEANS - An adult man's body was located in Bayou St. John Tuesday morning, according to the New Orleans Police Department. The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office later confirmed that the man was a swimmer who went missing Sunday.

Around 5:45 a.m., workers on a boat discovered the body near St. Bernard Avenue and Lakeshore Drive and called police, the NOPD said.

The coroner's office identified the man as Telesford Chavez-Lopez and the ruled the death as a drowning.

The body was found in the water in the same area where crews have been searching for Chavez-Lopez, since Sunday evening.
