HAMMOND, La. -- The Department of Children and Family Services has revoked the license of a daycare in Hammond after allegations of child abuse.

The agency says a tip came in alleging the owner of Kadlyn's Academy wrapped a blanket around the mouth and nose of a four-month-old child to prevent the baby from crying.

The agency found other minor violations when investigating the tip, and shut the day care down while its investigation continues.
