NEWORLEANS-- The New Orleans Saints will pay tribute to its inaugural class for the team's Ring of Honor during halftime against the Dallas Cowboys.

The Ring of Honor pays tribute to former players and administrators who have played a key role in the Saints history.

This year's inaugural class will honor three former players -- quarterback Archie Manning, linebacker Rickey Jackson and offensive tackle Willie Roaf.

'We have a number of deserving people that will be in the Ring of Honor and yet these three gentlemen, I think, stand above all others,' said Saints general manager Mickey Loomis.

The trio spoke at a press conference before kickoff Sunday.

'I'll always remember this night, I promise you that,' Manning said. 'It's really special. It's special to me, it's special to my family.'

Jackson said he put the Ring of Honor right up there with the Hall of Fame in his career accolades.

'The Hall of Fame is something that you're proud to have. But the Saints, me being here in New Orleans, I just thank Mr. Benson for the things he did for the city -- keeping the Saints here, that was a big task right there so I take my hat off to Mr. Benson.'

Roaf said, 'I'm just so grateful I got a chance to play close to home and my family and friends, a lot of them are here right now and it's going to be great tonight -- especially after we get through beating the Cowboys.'
