COVINGTON, La. -- Two police officers who arrested two high school referees during a football game are officially under investigation.

In October, the officials were arrested for public intimidation during the Mandeville-St. Paul's game after an altercation with a Covington police officer.

Police Chief Tim Lentz ended up dropping the charges. Our partners at The Advocate report letters have just been sent to the two officers involved, notifying them they are under investigation.

The letter does not guarantee that they will be disciplined.
