It's 'Performance Based Pay' time in the NFL.

For players, it's the Christmas bonus they knew they were going to get, just unsure of the exact amount the NFL would pass along. For most, it's not jelly of the month club gift.

The fund was created to supplement a player's compensation based on what the NFL calls a comparison of playing time to salary cap number; in other words, money for playing time above salary level.

This year, Corey White earned the most for New Orleans, thanks in part to a mid-range contract and playing time earned due to injuries to other players.

White, a fifth-round pick out of Samford in 2012, earned $212,448, his part of a $3.46 million per team pool the NFL will distribute.

Rookie Kenny Stills, also a fifth-round pick, was next at $194,844.

In all, 11 players earned at least $100,000 in bonus pay.

CB Corey White | $212,448.55
WR Kenny Stills | 194,844.97
FS Rafael Bush | $180,015.81
DE Akiem Hicks | $160,186.86
TE Josh Hill | $153,711.92
OT Charles Brown | $148,545.13
FB Jed Collins | $128,641.44
NT John Jenkins | $127,770.53
LB Ramon Humber | $116,845.11
LB Kevin Reddick | $110,834.00
OT Bryce Harris | $100,765.13

In case you were wondering, 59 players earned the extra money with the Saints for 2013.

Only seven players earned less than $10,000. Three of them were special teams players, two were injured, one was on the roster only a short time and the other boasts a steep salary.

LB Jonathan Vilma | $480.78
CB Patrick Robinson | $1,829.41
K Shayne Graham | $2,307.98
K Garrett Hartley | $2,472.71
LB Jay Richardson | $5,816.93
QB Drew Brees | $8,178.82
P Thomas Morstead | $9,787.62.
