NEW ORLEANS Two masked gunmen forced their way into a St. Claude home, fatally shot a man in the head and escaped the residence on Sunday night, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

Shortly after 11 p.m., the suspects enter the home in the 1100 block of Louisa Street and made unknown demands, police said.

Then, they shot the 30-year-old victim before fleeing the residence, officials said.

When police arrived, they found the man in the back of the home and pronounced him dead on the scene.

One of the suspects is described as a black man with a thin to medium build and shoulder length dread locks. He was wearing all black clothing and a black bandana covering his face.

The other suspect is described as a black man with a thin to medium build and a low haircut. He was wearing a bucket-style hat, all black clothing and a black bandana covering his face.

Investigators are attempting to identify the men and the motive.
