METAIRIE, La. -Traffic headed toward Metairie and Baton Rouge was slowed near the Metairie Road exit for about 90 minutes after a pickup truck overturned spilling debris onto the highway.

A second accident nearby added to the problems.

The incidents occurred around 8:30 a.m. Traffic was flowing again by 10 a.m.

The slowdown was as far back as Terry Parkway on the westbank and traffic was also slowed at the CCCtoll booth.
