NEWORLEANS-- Fan favorite and Saints quarterback Drew Brees and his wife Brittany will show their humanitarian side when they pledge $1 million to help those impacted by the ravages of Hurricane Sandy, according to CBSNews. They will make the donation public during CBS News' 'Person to Person.'
Seeing first-hand the long road back the Gulf Coast has faced after Hurricane Katrina, Brees and his family are no strangers to the devastation that hurricanes can inflict on a community. He and his wife came to New Orleans shortly after the storm heavily damaged the city.
In the Nov. 23 interview at 9 p.m., Drew and Brittany will announce the donation, show off their three boys -- Callen, Bowen and Baylen -- and give viewers a tour of their Uptown home on the interview show hosted by Charlie Rose and Lara Logan, which is modeled on the Edward R. Murrow program of the same name from the 1950s.
Brees also opens up about the on-going Saints bounty scandal, and New Orleans, a city that embraced him and his family. 'We feel so loyal and so tied to the city,' he told CBS News, adding 'It's a very unique place. But if you love New Orleans, it'll love you back.'
