INDEPENDENCE, La. Deputies arrested a man after he was observed jumping several fences, beating on doors and entering numerous residences in Independence, according to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office.

Around 4 p.m. Monday, Norman Cutrer, 50, of Albany broke into several homes on Vitrano Road.

Upon arrival at the scene, deputies detained him and brought him to custody.

Cutrer was arrested and charged with theft, two counts of criminal trespass and attempted burglary, according to the TPSO.
