As the broadcast home of Super Bowl XLVII, to be played in New Orleans next February, CBS announced Thursday that it will create a special broadcast location in Jackson Square, with more than 15 network programs originating from that location during Super Bowl.

The network announced Thursday that its special television, radio and internet broadcasts will begin on Monday, Jan. 28 and lead up to Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 3. CBS and WWL-TVChannel 4 will broadcast the game.

The CBS Super Bowl Park at Jackson Square will feature four outdoor sets inside Jackson Square, the network said.The area will remain open to the public.

'The CBS Evening News' will broadcast from New Orleans live on Friday and Saturday.'Face the Nation with Bob Schieffer' will kick off game day programming, live from Jackson Square.CBS This Morning will broadcast live from the site Thursday through Saturday.

CBS Sports programming will also originate from the Jackson Square site, as well as other locations throughout the city.

Entertainment programs to be broadcast from the city include 'The Talk,' broadcasting live Monday through Friday afternoons, and 'The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,' which will tape before a live audience for a special, post-game broadcast on Sunday.

'The Super Bowl is the granddaddy of big event television, and our approach this year is unlike anything we have ever done,' said Leslie Moonves, President and CEO, CBS Corporation.

'For the first time, CBS Corporation will have week-long, round-the-clock Super Bowl coverage on more than a half-dozen platforms. Creating CBS Super Bowl Park at Jackson Square as the center of all this activity will make it even more compelling, and also illustrate the collaborative efforts across the Company.'
