Police arrested a boyfriend for domestic violence after they responded to a 911 hang-up, Houma Police said.

Ben I. Kenny Jr., 47, 1525A Bonvillain St., is charged with strangling his girlfriend, police said.

His girlfriend told officers that Kenny came home drunk Sunday night, grabbed her by the hair and threw her against the wall, police said. When she was on the floor, he began strangling her.

Police said they responded to the 911 hang up about 9 p.m. They found Kenny hiding in the bathroom.

The two have been together for 15 years, police said.

Kenny is in the Terrebonne Parish jail, records show. His bond has not yet been set.
