NEWORLEANS- Saturday marked the third anniversary of the explosion on BP's Deepwater Horizon rig in the Gulf of Mexico, which killed 11 workers and spilled more than 210 million gallons into the Gulf over the next three months.

With a civil trial underway in NewOrleans, local activists gathered Saturday to mark the third anniversary. Many wore black to call for justice for the Gulf and the Gulf Coast region, also calling for BPto be held accountable for the damage the disaster caused.

Appearing on Eyewitness News at 6 p.m. Saturday, Michelle Erenberg with the Gulf Future Coalition discussed the impact of the largest oil disaster in American history. Click above for her interview.
