COVINGTON, La. Upon turning himself in for an armed robbery incident, a suspect admitted to his and an accomplice's involvement in a separate armed robbery, according to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office.

Police have been searching for Regis Chatman, 21, of Covington and Jammal Calloway, 18, of New Orleans since June 10 for an armed robbery outside of the Abita Nursery subdivision.

On Thursday, Chatman turned himself in and admitted to his involvement in the robbery, as well as his and Calloway's involvement in a previous armed robbery in which they were the main suspects.

The other incident took place on May 29 at a Covington-area mobile home community, according to STPSO. The pair held a couple at gunpoint in their home while they searched for items to take.

Detectives booked Chatman for both armed robberies.

STPSO obtained a second armed robbery arrest warrant for Calloway. He is believed to be armed and dangerous, deputies said. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call 985-898-2338.
