NEWORLEANS Funeral services have been announced for two New Orleans Fire Department members killed in a truck crash in Long Beach, Miss. Sunday.

The funeral services for firefighters Tommy Ashby and Scott Blanchard will be held collectively Friday at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, at 701 W. Virtue St. in Chalmette, according to the NOFD.

Ashby, a six-year veteran of the department, was assigned to Engine #14 on the 2nd platoon, and Blanchard, a three-year veteran of the department, was assigned to Engine #37 on the 2nd platoon, according to the NOFD.

Public Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., with a jointly held Memorial Service beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Memorial Accounts have been set up to assist the families of both firefighters. Donations to the Firefighter Scott P. Blanchard Foundation and the Firefighter Tommy Ashby Foundation can be made at any Chase Bank location.
