After a week where the top 9 spots didn't change, we had a weekend where the only unbeaten - Kansas City, the top ranked NFC team - Seattle and one of the top - Indianapolis, all struggled. Two of the top teams - Denver and San Francisco didn't play and two more - the Saints and Packers, lost.

  1. Denver 7-1 - (last week - 4) Broncos schedule starts getting tougher this week.
  2. Kansas City 9-0 - (last week - 2) Chiefs get a week off before facing Broncos twice in three weeks.
  3. Seattle- 8-1 - (last week - 1) Seahawks looked really vulnerable, but still pulled out win.
  4. Indianapolis 6-2 - (last week - 3) Looked dead in the water for most of the game before rallying.
  5. San Francisco 6-2 - (last week - 5) Niners face red hot Carolina and then Saints in next two weeks.
  6. New England 6-2 - (last week - 9) Pats starting to have the look of a top contender.
  7. Saints 6-2 - (last week - 5) Saints back in the cushy Mercedes-Benz Superdome but next two opponents much tougher.
  8. Green Bay 5-3 - (last week - 7) With Rodgers a Super Bowl contender, without him could be .500.
  9. Carolina 5-3 - (last week - 10) Red hot but opposition has not been very strong, so how good are they?
  10. Cincinnati 5-3 - (last week - 8) Perhaps chalk up their loss to short week.
