NEWORLEANS -- Police released surveillance video of a man running from the scene of a Carrollton Avenue shooting Monday.

The shooting occurred around 12:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of Carrollton Avenue, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

According to witnesses, the man and the victim were arguing in a driveway before gunshots were heard. The man was seen fleeing from the driveway down North Carrollton Avenue towards Esplanade Avenue.

When police arrived on the scene, the victim was lying in the driveway and had been shot multiple times. He was taken to an area hospital where he is listed in critical condition, police said.

The shooter, according to police, was described as an African-American male, in his late teens to early 20s. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark gray sweatpants with red shorts or boxers exposed from underneath the sweatpants.
