NEW ORLEANS The New Orleans Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that left three people injured.

The shooting happened just before 4 a.m. Monday at the intersection of South Johnson and Perdido Streets, where police say the victims were in a vehicle when a second vehicle pulled up and opened fire.

Three were shot, one make victim was shot in the back and two females had graze wounds to the arm and leg. A fourth person in the car was not injured in the shooting.

According to police, several cars in the area of South Johnson and Perdido were hit by one of the victims who was trying to drive to the hospital.

Details are limited at this time and police have not released many details.

Police have also not said whether they have a suspect or a motive in this quadruple shooting.
