METAIRIE, La. The Saints announced Tuesday morning they've agreed to terms with cornerback Elbert Mack, beefing up a secondary that is still light on NFL experience.

Terms of the one-year deal were not disclosed.

Mack (5-foot-10, 175 pounds), played with the Tampa Bay Bucs the previous four seasons, seeing time in 58 games where he came up with 77 tackles, five interceptions and 11 pass defenses.

To make room, the Saints waived defensive tackle Mitch King.

The team also announced that running back Joe Banyard and quarterback Luke McCown were invited to tryout with the team during its three-day minicamp, which begins today.

All minicamp practices - 10:15 a.m. and 3 p.m. today and Wednesday and 10:15 a.m. Thursday - are open to the public.
